چکیده

This study was carried out to study the effect of trace metal addition for hydrogen production The results show that this bacterial need a selected nutrient with selected concentration. The optimum parameters for cultivation were at initial pH of 7.0 and temperature of 30°C. Trace metal addition to the new medium showed that only iron enhanced the H2 yield. The results showed that 25 mgL FeSO4⋅7H2O enhanced the hydrogen yield from 391 mLg to 408 mLg glucose utilized with biomass concentration of 1.38 gL. YP/X of 292 mLg L, YX/S of 0.276 and YH2/s of 0.0364, gave the maximum hydrogen productivity of 81.6 mL L h. Magnesium and calcium addition were better for growth and not for hydrogen production. Biomass concentration increases as trace metal increases in the fermentation medium. The highest biomass concentration was 1.65 gL at 1000 mgL FeSO4⋅7H2O, 1.47 gL at 1000 mgL MgSO4⋅7H2O and 1.73 gL at 500 mgL CaCl2⋅2H2O, suggested that all trace metal are necessary for biomass production.

Comparison of metal additives and Boron atom on MgH2 absorbing-desorbing characteristics using calculated NQCCs

Using ab initio calculations, the hydrogen desorption from Magnesium hydride (MgH2) was studied. We presented the calculated nuclear quadrupole coupling constants (NQCCs) of hydrogen atom in various systems of MgH2. The effect of interactions of some metal atoms as well as Boron atom with MgH2 host matrix; (MgH2+M) nanostructures (M=Al, Ti, V, Fe, Ni ...

Biohydrogen Production and Kinetic Modeling Using Sediment Microorganisms of Pichavaram Mangroves, India

Mangrove sediments host rich assemblages of microorganisms, predominantly mixed bacterial cultures, which can be efficiently used for biohydrogen production through anaerobic dark fermentation. The influence of process parameters such as effect of initial glucose concentration, initial medium pH, and trace metal (Fe(2+)) concentration was investigated in this study. A maximum hydrogen yield of ...

Determination of thermodynamic parameters of hydrogen permeation of palladium membrane for considering the effect of stainless steel support

A palladium composite membrane was prepared by electroless plating on oxidized porous stainless steel support (ox-PSS). Hydrogen permeation flux through this composite membrane was measured in the temperature range of 574-674K and the pressure difference of two sides of membrane up to 90kPa. A simplified resistance model was employed to analyze the permeation behavior of hydrogen through Pd/ox-...
